VOTER AWARENESS CAMPAIGN BY ATMASPARSHA CHARITABLE TRUST, NAGPUR LOKSABHA 2023-24
Under the guidance of respected collector Dr. Vipin Itankar and deputy district election officer Mr. Pravin Mahire, AtmaSparsha Charitable Trust has organized various competitions for voter awareness at the surrounding college, in which volunteers are also aware of society through various activities like Matdata songs, Nukkad Natak, posters, slogans, etc. The college organized various voter awareness campaigns under the guidance of the NSS and AtmaSparsha Team unit with the aim of increasing the voter percentage in Nagpur City and also to make the young voters aware of their basic rights and duties. The youth took oaths collectively for 100 percent voting.
First-time voters were shown step-by-step how to use the EVM (Electronic Voting Machine). Students enthusiastically participated in generating awareness among the public by exercising their vote through rallies and nukkad nataks.
Mr. Abhinandan Palsapure, secretary of ACT, and Mr. Prasanna Chawdhary, head of Prayas Defense Academy, jointly regularly motivate the students to always exercise their right to vote in various local and national elections. The students actively participated in the campaign. Even first-time voters spread awareness about the right to vote and the importance of electronic voting machine procedures.
As a result, 11500+ new voters registered from the campaigned colleges.
Campaign date: 10 Oct 2023 to 16 Dec 2023
Objectives of campaign:
- To fill the Voting Form (No 6 and No 8).
- Focus on New Voters and Female Voters registration for good contribution.
- To creating awareness among the people/public/voter regarding the importance of the electoral system
- To enhance people’s participation in the voting system
- To create awareness to select effective people centric leaders
